What is CBD oil?

CBD is basically a cannabinoids compound that is mainly extracted from (or active compounds) the cannabis plant. Like THC or tetrahydrocannabinol, CBD is basically a non-intoxicating extract, which means it doesn’t cause any type of structural disease that is related to the use of cannabis. CBD oil or its item is very useful in treating serious torments, pains, sleepiness, disorders, depression, and other illnesses. There are many myths that whether the use of CBD help to lose weight or not, but it is true. 

As we know that CBD oil reduces chronic pain and symptoms but using a CBD product may be helpful; in losing weight and may assist with weight loss goals. There is broad research on animals about the working of CBD, it boosts the metabolism and reduces food intake by the body with the help of its two receptors i.e., CB1 and CB2, which play a crucial role in metabolism.  

Not only CBD may help you to lose weight but there are other cannabinoids i.e., THCV which also help you to lose weight. CBD and THCV are both the same but the difference is that CBD increases appetite whereas THCV suppresses appetite. It also has some effects on the body like increased blood sugar levels of the body.

In 2019, A study is published in the International Journal of Epidemiology stated that the use of cannabis (user, which may be persistent, new), the BMI was more likely to increase. This study was done on an average but shows a great result and done prospectively.

While CBD comes from the cannabis plant, so lacks THC compound. The Research on CBD oil is still a myth but body and weight are assumed to be lost. Also, many people don’t know how to use CBD products, their quantity, way, which sometimes may result in reactions too. According to London university, it is recommended or advised that you should start the dose of  CBD oil with a clean and organic green certified product that is tested properly and also care about its dosage. While CBD has many positive as well as negative effects, still research is going on it and the research of CBD oil for weight loss is still a mystery. It is not a holy grail product for weight loss but a substitute for a healthy life.

CB1 receptors – The CB1 receptors are present in the body but are mainly found in the brain and help in movement coordination, pain relief, emotions, thinking memories, and some other functions.

CB2 receptors –The CB2 receptors are present in the immune system which helps during inflammation and pain relief.

CBD oil helps the body to produce these receptors (CB1 and CB2) own to produce its own cannabinoids which is commonly known as endocannabinoids help in binding the cannabinoid receptors so that the body functions regularly. It is also involved in functions of the body such as the body’s senses of inflammation or needs to return to a state of stable balance.

As we all know, CBD oil is beneficial in treating multiple pharmaceutical conditions but we all know that each coin has two phases, same here. There are many side-effects of using CBD oil such as:

  • CBD oil may cause Sleepiness
  • Drowsiness
  • Diarrhea
  • Loss of appetite
  • weight gain or weight loss
  • Liver damage or liver infection
  • Fertility problems especially in males
  • Also, has some side effects with alcohol and certain medicines
